Chronic wasting disease not found in NYS deer

Testing of more than 2,500 samples of deer statewide found no deer infected with Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), the state Department of Environmental Conservation announced last week. CWD continues to pose a threat to New York’s wild white-tailed deer as Pennsylvania discovered CWD in both captive white-tailed deer and wild, free-ranging white-tailed deer in 2012.(…)

Bridget McKnight, daughter of Brandon and Janet McKnight, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall and spring semesters at State University College at Fredonia. Heather McKnight, daughter of Brandon and Janet McKnight, recently graduated summa cum laude from Nazareth College of Rochester with dual degrees in inclusive childhood education and psychology, with a minor in the honors program. Bonnie J. Ormsby, LPN at The Manor

Bonnie J. Ormsby, 55, of Fulton, passed away Thursday March 20. Bonnie was previously employed as a licensed practical nurse at The Manor at Seneca Hill. She was predeceased by a grandson, Elijah Ormsby, who died Aug. 21, 2013. Bonnie is survived by her six children, Jack, Jennifer, Joshua, Krysten, Leah and Rebecca; seven grandchildren;(…)
