Lawrence F. Croucher, 63, of Oswego died Friday July 4, 2014 in University Hospital, Syracuse.

He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Leslie and Anna (Perry) Croucher.

Larry was a plant pathologist and crop consultant for Crop Production Services, of Sodus, NY.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Joyce Croucher of Oswego; children Benjamin (Melanie) Croucher of PA, Carrie Croucher of Boston Sean Croucher of HI; stepchildren Judith (Eric) Emerling of Springville, Tanya Kszystyniak of Ithaca, Joshua Kszystyniak of Syracuse; his brother, Thomas (Sonia) Croucher of Indiana; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 8 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours were Monday July 7 at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.

Ian Stanbridge, worked at Anheuser Busch, volunteered for Boy Scouts, Little League

Ian P. Stanbridge, 61, of Phoenix, NY passed away at his home surrounded by family after battling a long illness.

Mr. Stanbridge was born to the late John and Olive “Joyce” (Jones) Stanbridge of Cheltenham, England. He has been a resident of the United States since 1976 and has been living in Phoenix, NY since 1977.

Mr. Stanbridge had served in the Territorial Army in England. He worked as a maintenance mechanic and machinist at Anheuser Busch, Baldwinsville, NY for 24 years.

Mr. Stanbridge was the founding member of the Baldwinsville Brewery Bicycling Club. He enjoyed being a past volunteer with Boy Scouts of America and the Phoenix Little League.

Mr. Stanbridge is survived by his wife of 40 years, Glenda Stanbridge of Phoenix, NY; children, Matthew (Jesse) Stanbridge of CA and Katherine (Matthew) Maine of Pennellville, NY; granddaughter Vivian Maine of Pennellville, NY; sisters and brother-in-laws, Jennifer Kinder, Gillian (Clive)  Berriman both of Cheltenham, England, and Debra (Martin) Jenkins of Staffordshire, England; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be held privately. There will be no calling hours.

The family has requested that donations may be made in honor of Ian to Rails to Trails Conservancy, The Duke Ellington Building, 2121 Ward Ct., NW 5th Floor, Washington, DC 20037; American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601 or to All Saints Episcopal Church, 149 S. First St. Fulton, NY 13069.

Guernsey receives scholarship

Anna Guernsey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Guernsey, received the Robert Parkhurst Memorial Award presented by the Fulton Police Department. The police department annually gives $500 to a high school senior who shows Parkshurst’s qualities of a desire to succeed, genuine concern for others and a willingness to assist others. Parkhurst was a Fulton police officer killed in 1984 by a drunk driver. Guernsey will attend Fulton-Montgomery Community College majoring in radiologic technology.
