Many Oswego County law enforcement personnel are joining state and federal law enforcement officers to carry the Special Olympics “Flame of Hope” throughout New York this week.
This is leading up to opening ceremonies at the 2014 Special Olympics New York Summer Games Friday, June 6 at University at Buffalo.

The Oswego County Historical Society will host the third lecture of the 2014 series at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at the Richardson-Bates House Museum at 135 E. Third St., Oswego.
A program titled “O’Captain! My Captain!: Stories of Men and Ships” will be presented by Dr. Robert Perkins, author of the recently published book of the same name.
