The Hawks R/C Junior Aviators are beginning their 13th summer flying season this year teaching kids and young adults how to fly Radio Control model aircraft.
The Hawks program is provided free of charge to local youth in the greater Oswego County area.
The Hawks program is a nonprofit 501(c) 3, youth oriented, light training program located in Fulton. Flight training takes place during June, July and August at the Oswego Valley Modelaires R/C flying club field Tuesday evenings. The field is located behind the Don Butler soccer fields off Chase Road in Fulton.
Groups also meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays at the Radio Aero Modelers of Pulaski.

Nominations are due July 10 for this year’s Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement award.
For the past 30 years, the Zonta Club of Oswego has recognized women whose hard work and dedication have made a difference in the lives of families in our community.
Amelia Earhart was a member of Zonta International. This award honors a woman whose community service has positively impacted Oswego County.

Four Fulton residents were charged recently with various drug charges.
Three people from the same family were arrested by the Oswego County Drug Task Force after a joint investigation conducted by members of the Oswego County Drug Task Force and the City of Fulton Police Department.
A search warrant was conducted May 29 and resulted in the recovery of 84 bags of heroin, Fentanyl patches, marijuana, unlawfully possessed prescription pills and crack cocaine along with digital scales and packaging material. Continue reading →
