Nutrition collaboration brings community vegetable garden to Fulton housing complex

Representatives from the Nutrition Collaboration of Oswego County meet with City of Fulton officials to discuss plans for a community garden at the Pathfinder Courts/Gilberts Grove complex. The Nutrition Collaboration of Oswego County is offering residents of Fulton’s Pathfinder Courts/Gilberts Grove housing complex, along with any Fulton city resident, the opportunity to enjoy fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers right from their own garden.

Working in conjunction with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County and the City of Fulton, the Nutrition Collaboration of Oswego County is looking to establish a community garden at John Lincoln Park near the Pathfinder Courts/Gilberts Grove complex.

“The Nutrition Collaboration is committed to working together to positively affect nutrition, wellness and hunger in Oswego County,” said Amy Roland, director of Oswego County Opportunities Senior Nutrition Services. “The community garden project is an excellent way to do just that.”
