Sarah H. “Sally” Wilcox, 92, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Oct. 15, 2012.
She was born Nov. 15, 1919 in Fulton, a child of Daniel and Marion (Shattuck) Hudson.
A resident of Fort Myers for the past five years, she previously lived in Jordan, N.Y. where she worked as partner with her husband in their business, Wilcox Agway Service, located in the White Mill, built in 1820.
She was a 1940 graduate of Canton State School of Agriculture. A member of the Jordan United Methodist Church, she was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also active in the Central New York ARC and belonged to the Ft. Oswego Daughters of the American Revolution.
Wife of the late Lyman Wilcox, who died in 1989, she is survived by her daughters, Elaine W. (John) Swank of Fort Myers, Fla. and Danielen C. Wilcox of Chittenango,; two grandchildren; her brother, Henry (Beverly) Hudson of Fulton; and her sisters, Harriet Rowell of Westdale, N.Y. and Marian (Fay) Fanning of Fulton.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. in the Jordan United Methodist Church, 63 Elbridge St., Jordan, N.Y.
