Fulton’s Ryan Lalik tallies hat trick

Ryan LalikIn only his third season of Fulton Youth Hockey, Little Pee Wee Ryan Lalik attained highest offensive honor, a rare three goal hat trick to spark his team to a 7-2 victory over rival Oswego.

Originally, in hockey’s storied history, a hat trick was only if a player scored three consecutive goals, a feat Lalik can boast of, “an original hat trick.”

Lalik, grandson of one of Fulton’s finest athletes, “Tippy Lalik,” made his grandpa proud, scoring Fulton’s third, fourth and fifth goals as the Raiders spurted out to a 5-0 lead after two periods.

Tyler Ruttan got the Raiders off to a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the game’s first 2:17 before Lalik went on his scoring binge.

Third period goals from Eric Shear and Nick Dingman ended Fulton’s scoring while Oswego got goals from Frank Palmer and Zach Sova.

Ruttan and Shear lead the Raiders with 10 goals each.

In the important assist department, Dingman had two; with one each from Caleb Calkins, Zach Tulowiecki, and Shear.

Goalie Nate Lindsley turned away 12 shots as the Raiders out shot the Bucs 44-12.

The Raiders also got big games from Andrew Hyde and Chayton Sykes.
