Richard W. Cole, 81, of Hannibal, died suddenly at home Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.
Born and raised on a farm in the town of Oswego, he was a life resident of the area. He retired from the Carrier Corporation in Syracuse after 32 years of service and had previously drove school bus.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and being a volunteer firefighter for the Hannibal Volunteer Fire Company.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly J. Cole, who died Jan. 22, 2006.
Surviving are his seven children, George Cole, Lynn (Ken) Burba, Mark (Judy) Cole, Lisa Cole, Michele Christopher, Timothy Cole and Chrystal Edwards; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and service were held yesterday at Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal. Burial was in Fairdale Rural Cemetery.
