The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department has requested a budget transfer of $200,000 to address ongoing housing problems at the Oswego County jail.
The correctional facility has exceeded its capacity.
The legislature will consider the request at tomorrow’s meeting.
Sheriff Reuel “Moe” Todd had requested $600,000 to address the problem, however, County Administrator Phil Church recommended the $200,000 amount. Todd will return to the legislature for more funds when needed.
