Born in Fulton she was a life resident. She retired from Syroco in Baldwinsville as an assembler after many years. She had also worked the American Woolen Mill, Rosalie’s Dress Shop and Mirabito’s Big M, all in Fulton.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Fulton, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary, Catholic Daughters and Golden Agers. She had volunteered with the A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She loved to spend time with her family and prepare food for them especially her native Syrian food.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. James, who died in 1996; brothers, Roselli and Leonard Simon; and sisters, Julia Wickham, Sarah Gould and Jane Molinari.
Surviving are a son, William (Nancy) James of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Lisa (Daniel) Fletcher, Laurie James, Jennifer Diaz and William (Sharon) James; seven great-grandchildren, Katherine, Christopher, Colin, Julia, Evan, Grace and Owen; sister, Ruth Benway; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Spring burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours were held Sunday.
