Joseph Ranieri, World War II veteran

Joseph A. Ranieri, 91, of Fulton, died June 14, 2012 at University Hospital, Syracuse.

He was born in Syracuse and he was a lifetime resident of Fulton. Mr. Ranieri was a United States Veteran having served during World War II in the Army Air Corp. He retired from Armstrong, Co., Fulton as a chief shift inspector after more than 30 years of service.

Mr. Ranieri was pre-deceased by his wife, Edith Ranieri, in 2004.

He is survived by his son, Kim  (Kathleen) Ranieri of LaFayette; five grandchildren, Michael, Jaime, Gina, David, and Kayte; and six great-grandchildren Skylar, Jesse, Jenna, Elysse, Evan and Jaegar.

Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Stephen Wirkes. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

A calling hour was held at Sugar Funeral Home, Fulton.
