The Fulton Bantam hockey team, sponsored by CVAC, B&T Sports, RJ Caruso Tax & Accounting and the Blue Moon Grill, shut out Onondaga 7-0 and settled for a 2-2 draw against Lysander recently.

After a scoreless first period, head coach Bill Beckwith’s Raiders found themselves down by two goals by the middle of the third period.

Fulton’s Evan Beckwith made it a one-point game, Cameron Clarke and William Fruce assisting, when he blew the puck in on a power play. Beckwith then accepted a cross-ice pass from Clarke to skate the puck in and score a short-handed goal late in the period to tie the game.

Goalie Evan Burdick stopped 23 shots for the Raiders.

Against Onondaga, Raider Robbie Carson scored his fifth goal of the season early in the first period, skating the puck in and scoring with a shot from the bottom of the circle. Soon after, Fulton’s Richie King picked up a rebound from Ethan Cimino to close the period.

Early in the second stanza, Nate Shaw scored number three for the Raiders, thanks to a passing play between Clarke and Fruce.
