Fulton Bantams capture title in Boulter Classic Tournament

The Fulton Bantam hockey team ended its season with a championship win in the Webster Cyclone Boulter Classic House Tournament. The Raiders went undefeated and topped Monroe County/White 3-0 to in the title game.

Fulton 6, Depew 0:  Fulton’s Cameron Clarke was first to light up the scoreboard early in game, Ethan Cimino assisting. Robbie Carson tallied number two for the Raiders, his 30th goal of the season, with a slap shot mid-second period.

Fulton came on strong in the third stanza, first with a goal from Cimino, Kameron Whipple and Clarke assisting, and another goal from Carson, thanks to a passing play between Nate Shaw and Cimino.

Evan Beckwith skated the puck in and sunk an upper corner shot before Clarke sealed a win, scoring on a breakaway.

Fulton goalie Evan Burdick earned his 12th shutout of the season.

Fulton 4, MCYH/White 1:  After a scoreless first period, Will Fruce got scoring started for the Raiders off a feed from Evan Beckwith.

Monroe County responded with the equalizer to close the period.  Ethan Cimino opened the third stanza netting a short-handed goal to give Fulton the lead.

A second short-handed goal came soon after from Robbie Carson.  Raider Nate Shaw blew one in from the point in the final minutes of play.

Fulton 13, MCYH/Yeager 0:  Kameron Whipple and Evan Beckwith scored three goals each for a hat trick (#15 of the season for Whipple and #35 for Beckwith) and Seth Cooney netted two for the Raiders (season #15).

Clarke scored twice (#40 of the season) while Robbie Carson, Ethan Cimino (season #10) and Nolan Bonnie contributed one goal each.  Both Richie King and Clarke earned playmakers, tallying three assists each.  Sarah Rice and Will Frice earned two assists each. Nolan Bonnie, Nate Shaw, Carson, Beckwith and Cimino all contributed one assist in the win.

Burdick notched his 13th shutout of the season.

Championship Game, Fulton 3, MCYH/White 0: The first period ended scoreless for both teams.  Mid second period, Clarke scored off a rebound from Ethan Cimino, Bonnie also assisting.

Carson netted one soon after with a shot from the point to close the period.

Beckwith took advantage of a power play late in the third period to score a final goal for the Raiders, Clarke and Bonnie credited with the assist.

Burdick ended the tournament with his 14th shutout for Fulton this season.

Bantams win 20th game of the season

Fulton Bantam hockey team defenseman Nate Shaw earned his fifth assist of the season in the game against Rome. The team, sponsored by CVAC, RJ Caruso Tax & Accounting, the Blue Moon Grill and B&T Sports, earned its 20th win of the season with a 4-0 shutout over Rome. The Raiders were also upset in a 3-1 loss to Lysander in weekend play.

Fulton’s Evan Beckwith opened the second stanza with an upper corner shot, William Fruce assisting.

Later in the period, Cameron Clarke scored off a feed from Ethan Cimino.

Cimino made it a three-point game thanks to a passing play between Nate Shaw and Kameron Whipple.

Fruce scored the final goal of the game early in the third period with Beckwith and Seth Cooney assisting.

Raider goalie Evan Burdick stopped 10 shots to earn his eighth shutout this season.

Against Lysander, Raider Kameron Whipple netted his 10th goal of the season off a rebound from Cameron Clarke early in the first period.

Lysander’s Noah Koenig responded with the equalizer, David Eckmann assisting, before James Coomey notched the go-ahead goal off a rebound from Eckmann to close the second period.

Eckmann earned a playmaker for Lysander early in the third, assisting Coomey’s second goal of the game to seal a win over the Raiders.

Burdick made 14 saves in net for Fulton.

Fulton 7, Valley 1: Robbie Carson opened the scoring for the Raiders late in the first period. Fulton’s Sarah Rice landed a shot from the point early in the second. Even Beckwith picked up a rebound from William Fruce to close the period.

The Raiders came on strong in the third stanza, first with a goal from Ethan Cimino, then one from Nolan Bonnie, Fruce assisting. Valley spoiled a shut-out mid period only for Cimino to respond with his second goal of the game, Michael Welch assisting. Bonnie netted a top shelf shot in the final minute to seal the win. Evan Burdick stopped 3 shots for the Raiders.

Fulton 5, Lysander 1: Beckwith stunned the Lightning with a goal in the first minute of play. Raider Seth Cooney netted the go-ahead goal with a backhand shot to close the period.  Fulton dominated the second stanza, first with Robbie Carson scoring on a breakaway, then with Beckwith landing an upper corner shot. Cimino scored number five for the Raiders, Nate Shaw assisting. Burdick turned aside 10 shots.

Fulton 2, Osgoode-Rideau 5: After a scoreless first period, the Senators lit up the scoreboard within the first minute of the second. Beckwith tied the game with a short-handed goal. Osgoode-Rideau took a one-goal lead at the close of the period.  The Senators came away with three more points in the third stanza before Beckwith netted his second goal of the game for Fulton. Burdick blocked 14 shots.

Fulton 4, Utica 1: Fruce started the Raiders off with a one-point lead in the first period, Nolan Bonnie assisting. Beckwith netted his 10th goal of the season, thanks to a pass from Fruce, early in the second period.  Cooney made good on an attempt made by Cimino before Fruce netted his second goal of the game, Beckwith assisting. Burdick tallied 15 saves for the Raiders.

Championship Game Fulton 6, Osgoode-Rideau 3: The Senators stunned the Raiders with a goal in the first minute of play. Beckwith brought the crowd to its feet with breakaway goal scored mid-first period.  At the start of the second period, Fulton’s Cimino picked up a rebound from Cooney to give his team a one-point edge. Beckwith then took a feed from Nate Shaw to make it a two-point game. Fulton’s Carson landed a shot after skating the puck in early in the third period.

Osgoode-Rideau narrowed the gap by one only for Beckwith to complete his hat trick with a top shelf shot. The Senators scored their third goal of the game before Carson sealed a win scoring his tenth of the season for the Raiders, accepting a pass from William Fruce and roofing the shot. Burdick was solid in net, turning aside 20 shots.

The Fulton Bantam hockey team, sponsored by CVAC, B&T Sports, RJ Caruso Tax & Accounting and the Blue Moon Grill, shut out Onondaga 7-0 and settled for a 2-2 draw against Lysander recently.

After a scoreless first period, head coach Bill Beckwith’s Raiders found themselves down by two goals by the middle of the third period.

Fulton’s Evan Beckwith made it a one-point game, Cameron Clarke and William Fruce assisting, when he blew the puck in on a power play. Beckwith then accepted a cross-ice pass from Clarke to skate the puck in and score a short-handed goal late in the period to tie the game.

Goalie Evan Burdick stopped 23 shots for the Raiders.

Against Onondaga, Raider Robbie Carson scored his fifth goal of the season early in the first period, skating the puck in and scoring with a shot from the bottom of the circle. Soon after, Fulton’s Richie King picked up a rebound from Ethan Cimino to close the period.

Early in the second stanza, Nate Shaw scored number three for the Raiders, thanks to a passing play between Clarke and Fruce.

The Fulton Bantam hockey team ended season play with a second place finish in the Binghamton Rage Tournament.

The Raiders came up short in the championship game, losing to Webster 5-2.
Raider wing Donovan Carr shined for the Raiders, contributing four goals and two assists in three games played.

Fulton 6, Barrie 1: After a scoreless first period, William Fruce took a feed from Greg Blasczienski to net Fulton’s first goal of the game.
Carr scored his tenth of the season, Raider Ben Nelson assisting, to end the period.
