Evan Beckwith, center for the Fulton Bantam hockey team, scored his 30th goal of the season in his team’s 6-0 shutout over Salmon River.
The Raiders fell to Clinton 2-1 but topped Jefferson 5-1 in weekend hockey action.
On the road against Clinton, the Raiders saw a scoreless first period. Goals from Clinton in the second and third period gave their team a two-point lead. Fulton’s Robbie Carson spoiled the shut out late in the third stanza.
Evan Burdick stopped 9 shots for the Raiders.
On home ice against Salmon River, head coach Bill Beckwith’s Raiders came on strong in the first period. Beckwith tallied his 30th goal of the season, scoring twice on his first shift, one assisted by Robbie Carson.
Richie King started out the second period accepting a pass in front of the net from Beckwith and sinking the puck into the back of the net.
Carson scored his 20th of the season, thanks to a pass from Beckwith, before Seth Cooney took a behind the net feed from Cameron Clarke to net his 10th goal of the season.
Clarke solidified the win in the third stanza, accepting a pass from Cooney, skating the puck in and sending it into the far side of the net.
Burdick made 19 saves to earn his 10th shutout of the season
Against Jefferson, the Jaguars had a one-goal lead at the end of the first period. Seth Cooney netted the equalizer off a rebound from Cameron Clarke early in the second.
Later, William Fruce scored two in a row to give the Raiders a two- point advantage, Robbie Carson and Nolan Bonnie assisting.
Cameron Whipple kept the momentum going with a goal at the start of the third period, Clarke assisting.
Clarke earned a playmaker with his third assist of the game when Carson sunk a shot from the dot.
Burdick blocked 28 attempts for Fulton.
