Fulton and Mexico boys varsity cross country teams took part in the OHSL Freebom League Meet Oct. 25 at East Syracuse-Minoa High School.
The event featured 95 runners from six different schools. Though Jamesville-DeWitt earned a first-place finish, it was followed by Mexico in second place and Fulton in third place.
Mexico came in second place with a team score of 55. The Tigers were led by James Gowans, who came in first place with a time of 17:02.2. Gowans was followed by Eric Hulbert, who earned a 9th place finish with a time of 18:29.7.
Ben Harper came in 10th place with a time of 18:33.9. Austin Moore earned a 15th place finish with a time of 18:55.2. Tim Raner came in 20th place with a time of 19:22.3. Austin Clark earned a 24th place finish with a time of 19:45.3. Charles Raymond came in 36th place with a time of 20:42.3.
Ezra Hulbert earned a 39th place finish with a time of 20:51.5. John Goodnow came in 66th place with a time of 22:47.1. Tyler Laflamm earned a 92nd place finish with a time of 26:53.3.
Fulton earned a third-place finish with a team score of 67. The Red Raiders were led by Kyle Loftus, who came in third place with a time of 17:16.8. Loftus was followed by Bailey Lutz, who earned a sixth place finish with a time of 17:56.3.
