A native of Syracuse, she had resided in Fulton most of her life. She retired from Oswego Industries after many years. She had enjoyed bowling on various women’s leagues, playing mahjong and playing the organ.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and former member of State Street United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, and First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday Church School to adults with special needs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Gibbo, in 1997 and daughter, Donna Brinkerhoff, in 1996.
Surviving are a son, Neal Brinkerhoff; grandchildren, Richard Whelsky, Timothy Brinkerhoff, Donna Lee McCalla, Kurt Whelsky, Chad Whelsky, Christi Sharkey, Josh Emeterio, Neal Roger Brinkerhoff, Cindy Chronowski, Caroline Hughes, Christina Markey, Jessica White and Thomas Brinkerhoff; and many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. There were no calling hours. Burial was at St. George Cemetery in Burke, N.Y.
