Anthony Iosue, World War II veteran

Anthony O. Iosue, 94, of Oswego, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Oswego hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Iosue was born in Auburn and has been a resident of Oswego since 1940. Mr. Iosue served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 until 1945. He was a former member of the Dante Alighieri Lodge #436, Oswego.

Mr. Iosue was predeceased by his wife, Sara Iosue, who died in 2004.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony J. (Barbara) Iosue of Florida and David J. (Gail) Iosue of Oswego; brother, Sonny (Joanna) Iosue of Florida; sister, Loretta (Kenneth) Davis of Auburn; grandchildren, Andrea, Allan, Callie, and Eric; great-grandchildren, Addison, Isabella, Vaughn, Preston, and Cayden; and his companion, Joyce Arnold.

Funeral services were held Friday at St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated. Burial was in All Saints Mausoleum.

Calling hours were held Thursday at Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
