Fulton Police Department

Calvin L. Waite, 39, of Buffalo Street, Fulton, and Alex Holley, 24, of Wickham Street, Fulton, are charged with burglary, a felony, and assault, a misdemeanor. Police say they both forcefully pushed open a door and enter a room and punched the victim several times in the face.

Melissa S. Ives, 35, of South Fourth Street, Fulton, is charged with grand larceny, a felony. Police say she took property valued at about $2,000 (books of collectible coins) from the victim at 211 Buffalo St. on or about June 9 or 10. Police said she sold the coins to a jeweler in Oswego.

Oswego County Sheriff’s Office

Raymond Hart, 42, of Crabtree Lane, Cicero was arrested for course of sexual conduct with a child, second degree, a felony, stemming from the investigation into an incident in which he allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a victim less than 11 years old from July 1999 through November 2001 at a residence in New Haven.

He was arraigned in Scriba town court and sent to the Oswego County jail in lieu of  $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He will return to New Haven court July 17.

Hilario B. Tello, 40, of 24 Ontario St., Oswego, NY was arrested following an investigation into the break in at a town of Oswego business June 15. He is charged with grand larceny and burglary, both felonies, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, for allegedly breaking a window to gain access to the business and taking a laptop.

He also was charged with burglary and grand larceny after the investigation into a separate incident at an Oswego Town business in which he allegedly entered the business and took a laptop, some coins from the register and consumable goods.

He was arraigned in Oswego Town Court and sent to the Oswego County jail without bail.

Craig S. Waybright, 38, of Wayne Street, Mexico, was arrested for criminal mischief third degree, a felony, following a domestic incident in the town of Mexico where he allegedly kicked the door to the residence open causing damage to the door, frame and lock.

Waybright was arraigned in Mexico Town Court and released on his own recognizance until a court date on Aug. 5.

Kody L. Barr-Jenkins, 17, of Pumphouse Road, Mexico, was arrested at the Oswego County Correctional Facility as he is a resident based on a parole violation and charged with burglary, a felony, and conspiracy and petit larceny, both misdemeanors.

He was charged following the investigation into his alleged involvement in the theft of a lawn mower out of a shed in the village of Mexico. Barr-Jenkins was arraigned in Mexico Town Court and sent back to the Oswego County jail in lieu of $20,000/$40,000 bail with a return to court date of July 29. This remains an open investigation.

Fulton woman receives presidential proclamation for first responders

Beverly Belton was a bit curious when a postal service worker came to her door a week ago.

“He handed me an envelope and on the front it said ‘The White House,’” Belton said. I stumbled, I was shaking. I couldn’t get it open. I said, oh my God, oh my God.”

Liverpool man dies in Hastings motorcycle crash

A Liverpool man died Thursday night in a motorcycle accident on County Route 12 in Hastings, Oswego County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Anthony J. Gorgoni, 46, was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson in a southwesterly direction at about  8:45 p.m. when the motorcycle left the north side of the road, hitting a marker post and earth embankment.

Gorgoni was taken to Upstate University Hospital by SOVAC Ambulance and was pronounced dead.

Members of Central Square Police Department and Central Square Fire Department assisted at the scene. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
