Brian Dick golf tournament June 14

The fourth annual Brian Dick Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 14.

People can sign up now to participate. All proceeds go towards the Brian Dick Memorial Scholarship at John C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix.

The tournament is captain and crew format with four-person teams. The cost is $75 a person or $300 a team. This includes green fees, cart, hot dog, beverage at the turn, dinner after at Tavern on the Lock, skins, red tee, mulligan and extra putt (each player gets one extra putt to use during the round).

The event will be at Emerald Crest Golf Course, Palermo.

Members of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Golf Committee are busy finalizing the details for one of the chamber’s most popular events, the Annual Golf Spectacular.

Scheduled for Monday, June 16, the 2014 Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Golf Spectacular will feature a four-person captain and crew format and tee off at 10 a.m. at Beaver Meadows Golf Club, 185 Barnard Drive in Phoenix. Continue reading

Local team results from the Tully Spring Invitational track meet

Boys’ and girls’ track and field teams from Hannibal, Phoenix, Mexico and Pulaski took part in the Tully Spring Invitational April 21.

The Hannibal girls’ varsity track and field team had an impressive day. The Lady Warriors came away with first place finishes in several events. Continue reading

The Oswego-Fulton chamber of Commerce is putting on “A Night of the Stars” from 6 to 8 p.m. May 12 in the Sheldon Ballroom at SUNY Oswego.

Tickets are $20 for chamber members and $25 for non-chamber members. They are available on the chamber website at under the events tab.

The event is a celebration of small businesses as a kick off to Small business Week.
