Carol J. Johnson, 80, formerly of Oswego, passed away Friday, April 18 at Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton.
She was the daughter of the late, Lynn and Ruth Lewis Johnson.
Surviving are her two sisters, Lynne “Bunny” Phillips of Georgetown, TX and Judith (Richard) Tyler of Hannibal; nieces and nephews, David and John Scharf, Patricia Becker, Jill Gilbert and Susan Messer; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31 with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m. at the Hannibal United Methodist Church, corner of Church and West streets in Hannibal.
Burial will be at Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton and Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego for the love and care that Carol received during her stay.
Memorial gifts may be given for Michaud Residential Health Services through the St. Luke – John Foster Burden Fund, 299 E. River Road, Oswego, NY 13126.
Foster Funeral Home in Hannibal has care of the arrangements.
David Izyk, 33, of Scriba, died Thursday May 22, 2014.
He was born in Oswego, the son of John and Donna (Manwaring) Izyk of Scriba.
David was employed with Novelis of Oswego. He enjoyed camping with his family and going hunting.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his children, Xavier M. Izyk and Arianne L. Izyk of Scriba; his wife Jennifer Rogers of LA; his sister April L. Marshall of Oswego and his brother Christopher J. Izyk of Oswego; nephews Taylor and Jacob Marshall; and his maternal grandparents William E. and Barbara A. Manwaring of Oswego; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents John and Rita Izyk.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
