The cities of Fulton and Oswego are receiving state grants to rehabilitate and build low- and moderate-income housing.
The competitive awards are made to local municipalities and nonprofits to help revitalize community and drive local economic activity.

On Friday June 13, police officials found and removed the car that had been reported seen in the Oswego River in Fulton.
Also found in the car is what police believe are human remains. Media reports from over the weekend state the car could be that of Carol Wood, who was last seen leaving an Oswego business in 1996 in her 1993 red Toyota Corolla.
A Father’s Day Breakfast Buffet is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Sunday June 15 at Masonic Lake City Lodge No. 127.
Dads can eat for free with a minimum of one paid ticket.
Lake City Lodge buffet usually includes French toast, pancakes, home fries, eggs, bacon and sausage, coffee, milk, juice and water.
The buffet is all-you-can-eat. Take out is available. To order take-out, or for more information, call 207-0127.
The lodge’s Masonic Hall is at 765 E. Seneca St., Oswego just past Centro Bus terminal and the recycling station.
A Fathers Day breakfast is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon, Sunday June 15 at the Elks Lodge, Pierce Drive in Fulton.

Mayor Thomas W. Gillen of Oswego has chosen Mark J. Slosek as new city historian.
Slosek is a retired school administrator and former American history teacher, whose career in public education spanned 39 years of service with the Fulton school district.
He received his bachelor’s in history and education from Niagara University and a master’s in history and a certificate of advanced study in school administration from SUNY Oswego. Continue reading
The grand opening for Yoberry Frozen Yogurt Bar in Oswego is Sunday June 15.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The new store is at 250 W. Seneca St., Oswego and serves 160 different flavors of frozen yogurt and 60 different toppings.
The business also offers a reward program — for every dollar spent, a patron gets one point. For 40 points, the patron gets a free 8-ounce frozen yogurt. Continue reading
