10 dental assistant grads inducted into honor society

The Oswego County BOCES’ Dental Assisting graduation was held May 28. Paul Gugel, director of Adult and Migrant Education, said all 10 of the dental assisting graduates were eligible and were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Macey Kerr was named valedictorian with a final average of 96.77 and Rebecca Williams was named salutatorian with an average of 96.73.

Search and Rescue Academy graduates 11 new members

On Saturday, June 14, the 11 students of the county’s Search and Rescue (SAR) Academy completed their final field testing and certification, culminating classroom and field work that started in March and entailed more than 108 hours of instruction.   Continue reading
