Valley Viewpoint: Making a difference

A couple of years ago, I lived next to a family who struggled with several aspects of their lives. They had financial difficulties, they had garbage piled up in their yard, and rodents and cockroaches were common.

The police were there two or three times a week due to domestic violence. The daughter would often threaten parents with a knife and screams were often heard throughout the neighborhood coming from the home.
