Veterans say ‘Thanks’
The members of the Fulton Veterans Council wish to thank the students and facilitators of “LOCY” (Leadership Oswego County Youth) and the Junior High and GRB High school lacrosse team and the Fulton 13-14 indoor and the travel soccer team, their parents and community volunteers for helping us place the veteran flags at Mt. Adnah and St. Mary’s cemeteries.
We were impressed with their willingness to help and the job they did was outstanding.
We also wish to express our gratitude to Sugar Funeral Home and Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home staff for helping with organizing the students and providing the pizza and water, and Mr. Wes Dean with Red Baron Pizza for opening his shop.
The Fulton Veterans Council is comprised of our community veterans’ organizations and veteran support groups, the Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus.
The week before, the LOCY students also treated many veterans and their guests to a wonderful program and picnic. We thank you for your interest and willingness to learn about our veterans’ experiences while serving in the military. Our veterans and their guests enjoyed this very much.
We are proud of all of the students who chose to include our veterans in their programs and we wish you success in the future.
John Young, on behalf of
The Fulton Veterans Council
