Oswego Health, Menter Ambulance team to make senior citizens safer

Oswego Health and Menter Ambulance Service, along with Lifeline and the Oswego County Falls Prevention Coalition, recently teamed up to offer a safety program for Fulton seniors.

The program was held at senior living facilities, as well as during the senior lunch program at the Fulton Municipal Building. Continue reading

Happy Father’s Day, Dad!!

The Granby Elementary Parent Teacher Group hosted its annual Father’s Day Social June 6. Fathers attended the event with their sons, playing Guess Who, Connect Four and Topple while enjoying ice cream sundaes. The gym also was also for basketball. Pictured are kindergartner Jacob Newton sharing quality time with his father David during Granby’s annual Father’s Day celebration.

Volney students enjoy Game Day

Volney Elementary in the Fulton school district recently spent some fun time outdoors for Game Day, an annual event at the school that features a variety of fun outdoor activities for students to participate in.

Chiropractors support United Way

Area chiropractors raised $2,240 in support of the United Way of Greater Oswego County during their Patient Appreciation Day fundraiser. From left are: Dr. Brent Tallents, Dr. Beth DuBois, Dr. Franklin Perkins II, Dr. Casey McCaffery, Dr. Richard Tesoriero, Dr. Anthony Licatese, Dr. Dustin Wharendorf, and Dr. Jason Cunningham. Absent from the photo are participating chiropractors: Dr. Richard Falanga, Dr. Ryan Barker, and Dr. Michael Soucy.

Fulton’s Bodley High saves a ‘ton’ by recycling

Since the beginning of the school year, students at G. Ray Bodley High School have reduced their carbon footprint by 16 metric tons.

Students in Dan Mainville’s Global Environment class reported the results of a yearlong recycling project at the June 10 Fulton school board meeting.

The class has been sorting and weighing all of GRB’s recyclables most Fridays since October.  Continue reading

Fulton teen competes today in Feinstein singing competition

Aspiring singer Joshua Batstone of Fulton will compete in the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Northeast High School Vocal Competition today.

The competition will be held at Yamaha Artist Services in New York City. The regional winner will advance to the national Feinstein Competition in Carmel, Indiana, July 20-25. Continue reading
