Investigation continues into car pulled from Oswego River in Fulton

On Friday June 13, police officials found and removed the car that had been reported seen in the Oswego River in Fulton.

Also found in the car is what police believe are human remains. Media reports from over the weekend state the car could be that of Carol Wood, who was last seen leaving an Oswego business in 1996 in her 1993 red Toyota Corolla. Continue reading

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

A Father’s Day Breakfast Buffet is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Sunday June 15 at Masonic Lake City Lodge No. 127.

Dads can eat for free with a minimum of one paid ticket.

Lake City Lodge buffet usually includes French toast, pancakes, home fries, eggs, bacon and sausage, coffee, milk, juice and water. 

The buffet is all-you-can-eat. Take out is available. To order take-out, or for more information, call 207-0127. 

The lodge’s Masonic Hall is at  765 E. Seneca St., Oswego just past Centro Bus terminal and the recycling station.

Oswego Health, Menter Ambulance team to make senior citizens safer

Oswego Health and Menter Ambulance Service, along with Lifeline and the Oswego County Falls Prevention Coalition, recently teamed up to offer a safety program for Fulton seniors.

The program was held at senior living facilities, as well as during the senior lunch program at the Fulton Municipal Building. Continue reading

The Granby Elementary Parent Teacher Group hosted its annual Father’s Day Social June 6. Fathers attended the event with their sons, playing Guess Who, Connect Four and Topple while enjoying ice cream sundaes. The gym also was also for basketball. Volney students enjoy Game Day

Volney Elementary in the Fulton school district recently spent some fun time outdoors for Game Day, an annual event at the school that features a variety of fun outdoor activities for students to participate in.
