This Sunday marks the 175th Anniversary of the Hannibal Methodist Church.
The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. at Firemen’s Field on Rochester Street with an old fashioned revival meeting. Following there will be a picnic. Dress as you might have 175 years ago for church.
The day promises to be one filled with music and fun for everyone. Join them as they celebrate this milestone in the Hannibal Community. I hope to be there!
Fathers: I was remiss last week in wishing you a Happy Father’s Day.
So, all I can do is hope that you had a good day, that your wife gave you a little time away from the lawn mower, and that you didn’t burn the steaks.

The Oswego County Legislature has adopted summer hours for departments in the Legislative Office Building at 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego.
The Charles E. Gallagher Swimming Pool will open for the 2014 season at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 27.
Public swim will be between the hours of 12:30 and 5 p.m. and family swim will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.
Auditions for CNY Arts Center production of “Romeo and Juliet” are set for this Thursday and Friday, June 19 and 20 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. at its theatre located at 357 State St. in the Methodist Church.

Registration packets are available at the main office of each elementary school, at the Registrar’s Office at the Education Center or online at fulton.cnyric.org.

The Fulton City School District is still accepting registrations for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program.
The program aims to provide children with the foundation for future school success by developing skills in literacy and numeracy.
The Mount Pleasant Grange will have its next
Belgian waffles breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday June 21.
The topping for the month is strawberries. Waffles will be served with the breakfast buffet. Take outs will be available.
The grange is located at 2825 County Route 45.
chicken barbecue to support the Independence Parade in Oswego will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22 at the Woodchuck Saloon, 1 Mitchell St., Oswego.
The menu includes a choice of barbecue chicken or pulled pork with two sides, rolls and great music.
Cost for a ticket is $11 at the door. Please come out and support the Independence Day Parade!
