Flag Day commemorated at Fort Ontario

A detachment from Continental Arms Collectors Association’s Revolutionary War Interpretive Unit participated in the recent annual Flag Day program at Fort Ontario State Historic Site. The Unit interprets a company from the 1st New York Regiment, Continental Army in 1782. Following raising the American flag, the detachment assembled at the west guardhouse. Habitat for Humanity begins new program to rehab homes

Planning committee members meet in preparation for Oswego County Habitat for Humanity’s new initiative, A Brush With Kindness.  An exterior home preservation program, A Brush With Kindness offers painting, landscaping, weather stripping, and minor repairs for homeowners in need. Oswego County Habitat for Humanity has begun a new initiative to help low-income homeowners with necessary home repairs and increase the curb appeal of their property.   Continue reading
