Oswego school district raises money for United Way’s ‘Stuff-A-Bus’ Campaign

Stuff-A-Bus Chairperson Jo Ann Conzone, left, organized a number of events for school district employees, such as jeans day and the drawing for the Buccaneer basket.  Working in collaboration with United Way of Greater Oswego County, other area school districts, and more than 20 business and organizations, the Stuff-A-Bus campaign collects donations of school supplies for distribution to less fortunate students throughout Oswego County.

Rosemary Nesbitt was all about children.

She was a master storyteller, turned classic literature into plays for the stage and enchanted generations. Her legacy lives on in her play “The Great Rope,” about a 12-year-old boy named Jonathan.  Continue reading

SUNY Oswego offers live event minor

Theatrical skills -- The SUNY Oswego theatre department will offer a new minor in live event design starting this fall, presenting students in other majors the opportunity to develop skills such as lighting design, stage management, makeup and costuming for live presentations in such careers as business, broadcasting, museums and education.
