Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Little Utica United Methodist Church will have a free kids’ dinner and movie night at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1.

The dinner menu consists of hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and pizza. There will also be chips and dip and cookies for dessert.

Following dinner will be a popular G rated movie that the kids will enjoy.

Little Utica United Methodist Church is located on Lamson Road, heading west off Route 48, just past the intersection of Lamson Road and East Mud Lake Road.

The Trinity United Methodist Church in Oswego will serve a barbecue chicken dinner from noon until sold out Saturday, Aug. 9.

Each chicken dinner includes a barbecued chicken half, buttery salt potatoes, baked beans, tossed salad, rolls and butter, beverage and a dessert.

Dinners will be served in the dining room or fixed to take out. You may call ahead to reserve a chicken dinner.

Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 45 E. Utica St., (corner of East Fourth at Utica Street) in Oswego. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a local charity.

For the first time in five years, Fulton varsity basketball coaches Matt Kimpland (boys) and Derek Lyons (girls) held separate basketball camps. 

Each camp consisted of fourth-graders through eighth graders and ran for three hours each day from July 7 through July 11 at the Fulton War Memorial. Continue reading

Archery club offering classes

Deerslayer Bowmans Archery club at 8100 state Route 104, Oswego will hold archery classes for all ages starting at 5 years old. 

The class will start Tuesday Aug. 5 and will be every Tuesday night through Aug. 26. 

The fee for the 4 week class is $10 per participant.

Actors from three local theater companies join together for the upcoming production of “Romeo and Juliet” at the CNY Arts Center.
