More than 30 children — most dressed in pirate garb like Emergy, Nolan and Aaron O’Brien, above — showed up at the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego July 10 for Kids’ Pirate Day. Young lads and lasses can consort with fellow pirates; land lubbers can throw in with the lot and become pirates for a day. The morning of fun and educational activities includes games, music, pirate grub, tours of historic vessels, a scavenger hunt and treasure to take home. The program is appropriate for children ages 2 to 12. Tickets are $12 per child and members discounts are available. Another event will be held 10 a.m. to noon Thursday July 24. Contact the H. Lee White Marine Museum at 342-0480 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
