Recreate NY Festival in Fulton Aug. 16, 17

The Recreate NY Festival is scheduled for Aug. 16 and 17 at Lake Neatahwanta on Route 3 in Fulton.

The event is back after being founded in 2012 when it was called Recreation Restoration. The event promotes awareness of the Lake Neatahwanta revitalization project.

The festival begins each day at 10 a.m. with yoga in Recreation Park. There also will be 100 vendors with artists, crafters, photographers, Laura Ponticello and others.

Musicians to be featured are Tom Weaver, PJ Wise, Doc Apple, Christopher Battles, Kim and Ronnie Jenkins, Liz Enwright with Billy Mayette and many more. There also will be a fishing derby, scavenger hunt and comedy show by Nick Marra on Aug. 16.

The lineup on Saturday Aug. 16 is:

10 a.m. – Yoga in Recreation Park with Debbie Drake

11 a.m. -Scavenger Hunt Begins

Noon -Tom Weaver

3 p.m. – Christopher Battles

6 p.m. -PJ Wise

9 p.m. – Nick Marra

The lineup for Sunday Aug. 17 is:

10 a.m. – Yoga in Recreation Park.

11 a.m. – Mass

Noon – Gospel Music and Indie Pop.

The event is self supporting and any money made will go to vendors’ choice of breastfeeding coalition, Fulton Pentecostal Church or the Humane Society.

The event is free, but tickets are needed for the Nick Marra Comedy Show. Those are $15 at the door or $10 in advance and can be purchased at Mother Earth Baby, Pies guys II, Chesters, Shotz and Upperlandings. Tickets also can be obtained by calling 561-7861.
