Timothy Savage, avid outdoorsman, auto body technician, NASCAR enthusiast


Timothy A. Savage, 54, of Palermo died Saturday July12 at Oswego Hospital.

He was born in Fulton, the son of Thomas and Evelyn Savage. He was an auto body technician. He was involved with the Mexico Boy Scouts, Troop 825 and was a Little League umpire.

He was a horseshoe player and NASCAR enthusiast. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was an organ donor.

Surviving are his wife of 23 years, the former Kelly Ryder. Also surviving are one daughter Jamie (Zach) Warner, of Winsted CT; one step-son, Jason Ouderkirk, of Syracuse, NY; parents Thomas and Evelyn Savage, of Palermo, NY; two brothers, Gary Savage, Churchville, NY, Scott Savage, of Palermo, NY; one Sister, Cynthia Baron, of Deland, FL; and two step grandchildren, Olivia Ouderkirk and Amerlia Ouderkirk.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 19 at Vermillion Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are in care of the Harter Funeral Home, Mexico, NY.

  1. Tim will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. The memories that we each have of time spent with Tim will fill our hearts take away the sorrow. Tom and I want to let Aunt Evelyn, Uncle Tom, Gary, Scott and Cindy know they are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
