Migrant program honors graduates, star students

The Migrant Education Tutorial and Support Services Program at Oswego County BOCES recently held its annual graduation and recognition ceremony. 

Each of the three graduating seniors from the program received a scholarship award on behalf of the Weston T. Hyde Foundation, which was presented by former Fulton City School District Superintendent Michael Egan.

The graduates are Alissa Gilbert from the Pulaski Academy and Central School District, Wilmer Jimenez from the Fulton City School District and Lluvia Mendoza from the Sodus Central School District.

Mike Jimenez, Udiel Jimenez and Wilson Reynoso of G. Ray Bodley were also recognized as star students. All three students moved to the United States from Guatemala, speaking no English, and received high honor roll status during the 2013-14 school year.
