Gallagher Pool opens June 27

The Charles E. Gallagher Swimming Pool will open for the 2014 season at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 27.

Public swim will be between the hours of 12:30 and 5 p.m. and family swim will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.

Fees are: youth day pass (under 18 years old) $1 for resident or non-resident; adult day pass $2 for resident or non-resident; youth season pass $25 for residents and $35 for non-residents; adult season pass $35 for residents and $45 for non-residents; family season pass is $55 for residents and $70 for non-residents.

Seniors age 62 and older can swim for free whether they are residents or non-residents.

The Learn to Swim program is $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents per child per session.

Swimming lessons will again be offered beginning Monday, June 30, held in four, two-week sessions, (10 children per session). The sessions are as follows:

First session runs from June 30 through July 11

Second session runs from July 14 through July 25

Third session runs from July 28 through August 8

The final two-week session runs from August 11 through August 22

There are two times to choose from to attend –  10 to 10:45 a.m. and 11 to 11:45 a.m. for age groups 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11 and 12 and up. Fees for residents are $20 per child, per session; non-residents are $30 per child, per session.

Sign up will be held on Friday, June 27 beginning at 10:00 am, at the Gallagher Pool.
