Volney Elementary School students attended a special assembly to recognize positive behavior and those who are role models.

Principal Lisa Garofalo gave certificates to one student from each classroom that exemplified the May character trait, effort. In addition to the classroom role models, 22 students were awarded certificates for being “On A Roll” models.

Before the awards presentation, students were treated to a performance by Reader’s Theater. The first-graders presented the story “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type” by Doreen Cronin. Following the awards, the top storytellers from Volney shared their tales with the school.
