Second-graders from Lanigan Elementary School studied plants and animals in their natural habitat during a recent field trip to Beaver Lake Nature Center.

The students were given guided and self-guided tours of the trails and displays in the center. They were able to spot a wide variety of animals, insects, reptiles and more during their day-long trip and enjoyed the many signposts detailing unique natural wonders along the trails and at the water’s edge.
