John Lagoe, veteran, head cook at Wade’s Diner

J5-29_OBITlagoeohn Lagoe, 70, of Oswego died Saturday May 24, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital, Syracuse.

He was born in Oswego, the son of the late George and Dorothy (Dale) Lagoe Sr.

Mr. Lagoe worked at Wade’s Diner since 1960 starting as a dishwasher and later becoming the head cook.

He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

Mr. Lagoe served in the United States army from 1967 until 1969.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Gene Lagoe, George Lagoe Jr., and Carol Losurdo.

Mr. Lagoe is survived by his sister Sharon Crisafulli, of Oswego and close friend Anne Demm of Oswego, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wednesday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial will be private. Calling hours wre Wednesday at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
