The Fulton girls’ varsity lacrosse team went through a bad patch the last week or so, losing three games.
The Lady Raiders now have a 4-7 overall record as East Syracuse Minoa beat them 19-5 on April 29, Christian Brothers Academy knocked off the Lady Raiders 19-6 May 1 and Homer topped Fulton 14-9 May 5.
ESM built a 9-3 lead over Fulton during the first half and the Spartans didn’t stop there. They outscored Fulton by eight goals during the second half en route to the 19-5 win.
The Lady Raiders were led by Amelia Coakley with three goals, followed by McKenna Chesbro and Julia Ludington with a goal each. Fulton Goalie Kaylin Pafumi saved nine of East Syracuse-Minoa’s 28 shots on goal.
In repeat fashion, CBA also jumped out to a 9-3 over Fulton during the first half. The Lady Raiders couldn’t get any closer as CBA outscored Fulton by seven goals during the second half to cap off a 19-6 win.
Leading the way for Fulton were Casey Shannon and Julia Ludington with two goals each, followed by McKenna Chesbro and Amelia Coakley with a goal each. Jordan Coulon is credited with an assist. Goalie Kaylin Pafumi saved nine of CBA’s 28 shots on goal.
After a competitive first half, Homer led the Lady Raiders by only three goals at 8-5. But then Homer expanded on its lead, outscoring the Lady Raiders by two goals during the second half to come away with a 14-9 win.
Fulton was led by Keara Patterson and McKenna Chesbro with two goals and an assist each, followed by Amelia Coakley with two goals, Casey Shannon with a goal and an assist and Julia Ludington and Jordan Coulon with a goal each. Goalie Kaylin Pafumi saved eight of Homer’s 27 shots on goal.
