Lakeside Artisans’ Tim Ames has been named to the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society International Online Exhibition.

Ames’ painting, “Summer on the Lake,” was juried into the show, which can be seen at the NOAPS.org website. Click on “Thumbnails Oil Spring 2014 Page.”

On its website, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society states its mission is ”to focus on the emerging artist, rather than the well-known painters who have already gained acceptance in the Visual Fine Arts industry.”

The organization promotes artists who “strive for excellence in their work while focusing public attention on the lasting value of original oil and acrylic paintings throughout the United States.”

Ames’ artwork is on display at Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., Oswego, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Thursday until 8 p.m. during the Farmers’ Market, and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
