Parents of Special Children, Inc. presents its annual Jamboree Chicken Barbecue fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at the Hannibal American Legion.

The family event will include a chicken barbecue, door prizes, raffles, a delicious bake sale and music by Proctor Entertainment and Event Services.

There will also be a photo booth by Bach Photo Images, crafts and fun activities lasting throughout the event.

The agency will have a wide variety of drawing items, including a full-size hand- made quilt, an iPad and iPad mini.

“The Jamboree is a tradition for the families we serve, but also for members of the community,” said board president Monica Stoutenger.

“It is a great opportunity for our community to come together in an inviting, fun, and entertaining environment.”

Parents of Special Children is a 26-year-old nonprofit community agency that serves individuals with developmental disabilities in Oswego County.

Parents of Special Children is dedicated to family empowerment, mutual support and cost effective service delivery.

Fundraising efforts help to support activities such as: bowling parties, ice cream socials, Family Night at the Races, sports and recreational activities and Breakfast with Santa.

These events would not be possible without the community support.
