The student body here at G. Ray Bodley has thought up a creative addition to our busy mornings.
Students have collaborated on a project called “GRB News.” Each morning during Guided Study Hall, a video clip is shown featuring events going on at the high school, the weather, and sports among many other topics.
The students have done a great job so far, as last week was the first round of showings. GRB News also has its very own Twitter page with announcements, and can be found at @GRBNews. Check it out!
The 5-week mark in this marking period ended last Friday. It is hard to believe that we only have five more weeks of school left until the 2013-2014 school year is over. Students are wrapping up their last AP exams this week, and then will move on to preparations for Regents exams.
Stay focused, but remember to have some fun as well.
Don’t forget that the GRB Spring Clean-Up is this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Bring gardening gloves and any tools that you feel would be of use to the students.
The regular seasons of many spring sports teams are ending as well. The varsity and JV girls’ lacrosse teams face CBA at home tonight at 5 and 6:30, respectively.
The varsity softball team faces CBA tomorrow at CBA at 4:30, as does the varsity and JV baseball teams. The boys’ track team will participate in an invitational at C-NS High School at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Good luck to everyone taking exams and to all of our sports teams!
