A SUNY Oswego student died overnight from a heroin overdose, according to local police.

All three victims are students at SUNY Oswego. The campus victim died. The other two were treated and are recovering at Oswego Hospital.

Oswego City Police and University Police are working together to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
While the investigation continues, both police departments are cautioning everyone regarding the potential that heroin circulating in the area in extremely lethal.
SUNY Oswego issued the following message via the NY Alert messaging system around 8:15 a.m. Saturday: “Danger: Oswego heroin may be lethal. One person is dead; two are hospitalized. Please
beware! Please call police with any information.”
