Submitted by Anna Clarke

The Fulton Bantam hockey team, sponsored by Comfort Windows & Doors and Fulton Savings Bank fell, to Lysander 5-1 in a recent road game.

The Raiders fought an uphill battle as they faced #2 ranked Lysander with their bench shortened to nine skaters. After a scoreless first period, Fulton goalie Adam Bleiweiss allowed only one goal in period two after turning aside 18 shots from the Lightning.

Lysander netted their second goal early in the third stanza before Fulton team captain Nolan Bonnie picked up a rebound from Seth Cooney and made it a one-point game. The Lightning came on strong in the remainder of the period, scoring three more goals to secure their win over the Raiders.

Bleiweiss made 33 stops in net for Fulton.
