Theresa M. Knopp Stephens, former chief clerk for state Supreme Court

Theresa “Tee Cee” M. Knopp Stephens, 53, of Oswego passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Albany Medical Center.

She was a 1977 graduate of Oswego High School and C.C.B.I. where she received her associate’s degree in business administration with honors.

Theresa retired as chief clerk for the New York state Supreme Court, Oswego County in Oswego after many years.

She was a member of the Fulton Lions Club and Oswego Professional Women’s Club. Theresa was predeceased by the love of her life, husband, Robert L. Stephens, in 2010 and her parents, John and Eileen Demm Knopp.

Surviving are her sisters, Patricia (Dan) Fern of Magnolia, TX and Kathleen (Sue Haney) Knopp of Fulton, nieces, Sarah (Eric) Ingerson and Meghan (J.D.) Knight; nephew, Thomas (Rachael) Knopp; grandnieces and grandnephews, Tyler, Ian, Jacob, Avery, Addie, Ethan and Tenley; her aunts and cousins.

Calling hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton with services to immediately follow.
