Samuel J. Imbolli Sr., Korean War veteran

Samuel J. Imbolli Sr., 82, of Granby, passed away Monday, Oct. 28 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.

A native of Oswego, he had resided in the Granby-Fulton area for many years. He was a graduate of Oswego High School and had attended SUNY Oswego.

Sam was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton.

Sam was a loving, compassionate and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He was an extraordinarily special person to all those that had the joy of knowing him and he will be loved and be a special part of us forever.

May a shared moment with him be a cherished memory of a precious gift and may the glow of his love shine within you forever.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Kate French Imbolli; son, Samuel J. (Vicki) Imbolli Jr.; grandchildren, Rowan Samuel Imbolli and Caroline Katherine Imbolli; sisters-in-law, Ann (John) Snell and Joan Richards; brother-in-law, John (Nancy Ann) French and their families.

He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Rose Tripp Imbolli and granddaughter, Hope Elizabeth Imbolli.

There are no calling hours at this time. Memorial services will be at a later date.

The family wishes to thank all who have made a difference in Sam’s life, he appreciated your love and support. A gift of remembrance for Sam would be offering kindness and hope to anyone in need and making a difference in their lives. He would ask that you forgive those who may have offended you; ask forgiveness of those you may have offended; and then forgive yourself.
