James DuBois, Central New York musician

James H. DuBois, 72 of Fulton passed away Tuesday Oct. 29 following a long illness.

James, a well-known local musician known as ‘Round Mound of Sound,’ started off his career playing the Upright Bass and played music all around Central New York, including Central Square, Fulton, Oswego, Phoenix, Hannibal and many other places where he specialized in singing,  the acoustic guitar, keyboard and Karaoke.

In addition to his music, Jimmy was a great artist specializing in natural scene painting of nature and wild animals.

Surviving are his wife Jeannie of 50 years; his son Amos (Michelle) DuBois; his daughter Florence (Christopher) Darby; his brothers, George (Patricia) DuBois Thomas (Brenda) DuBois, John (Lauralai) Raduns, and Eugene (Lori) Raduns; his sister Joan (Howard) Samson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Friday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Volney. There are no calling hours.
