A free kids’ fishing class is being offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Lake Neatahwanta.
The class is sponsored by Sider Rybaak and McGrath & Associates Carp Angling Services.
Children can come even if they don’t have fishing equipment. Loaner Shakespeare rods and reels will be available. Free bait and tackle, donated by Rybaak, Shakespeare, Berkley, Marukyu Baits of Japan, Alvey, Eagle Claw and SAMPO will be provided.
Children less than age 14 must be accompanied by an adults. A New York state fishing license is required for anyone age 16 and up.
Attendees should go to the park at Bullhead Point, where the pier reaches out into the lake, on Route 3 on the west side of Fulton.
