Vehrs earns her master’s, lands teaching post

Jennica C. Vehrs of Fulton was awarded her master of science in education degree in literacy during State University College at Oswego’s 152nd commencement May 18, 2013.

She is a 2008 honor graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton. She previously graduated with a bachelor of science degree, summa cum laude, from SUNY Oswego in December 2011.

As an undergraduate, Vehrs was president and a four-year member of the Del Sarte Dance Club.

Vehrs has accepted a kindergarten teaching position at Cato-Meridian Elementary School.

She is the daughter of Renae Vehrs of Fulton and the granddaughter of the late Frank and Erma Cealie.
