Local favorites F5 will be rocking the after ride celebration of the Child Advocacy Center’s 10th Annual Blue Ribbon Ride Against Child Abuse at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 at Lighthouse Lanes, Shampine Drive in Oswego.
The event includes a chicken barbecue, drawings for themed gift baskets and other items including a hockey stick signed by players from the 2013 Calder Cup finalist Syracuse Crunch.
The celebration follows a family bowling event at Lighthouse Lanes from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The after ride celebration is open to the public. Proceeds support the Child Advocacy Center’s Blue Ribbon Campaign that focuses on child abuse awareness and prevention. The Blue Ribbon Ride, a 70-mile ride throughout Oswego County, will take place beginning at 3 p.m. that day. The ride starts at Wheel-A-Way Motorsports, 947 S.First St. (Route 57) in Fulton and ends at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego. Registration begins at 2 p.m.
