Members of the Pennellville United Methodist Church will begin the fall season with a flurry of activity.
The first dinner of the season will be served Sept. 14, a craft show and flea market are set for Sept. 28, and rehearsals for the annual Christmas cantata will begin Sept. 29.
Season’s first dinner
A roast beef dinner will be served beginning at 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at the church, 389 county Route 54.
The menu will consist of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, beverages and special desserts. It’s an all-you-can-eat dinner.
The women’s group always has goodies and crafts for sale. Visitors also can choose from a wide variety of used books at reasonable prices.

Show and market
The church’s annual craft show and flea market will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 28 at the church.
Visitors are urged to come early and do a bit of Christmas shopping. There will be crafts, baked goods, used books, Christmas gifts and flea market items.

Cantata rehearsals to begin
If anyone enjoys singing, come and join the annual Christmas Cantata. Rehearsals will be on Sunday evenings from 6 to 8 at the church.
