Dianne Shortsleeve: Retired as home health aide

Dianne Shortsleeve, 73 of Fulton, passed away at home Aug. 22 surrounded by her family.

A native of Oswego, she resided in the Fulton-Phoenix area most of her life.

She retired as a home health aide after 15 years and had previously worked at S.S.A.C., Eagle Comtronics and General Electric Co.

Dianne was an active member of Believer’s Chapel in Fulton, where she sang in the choir, organized and worked in the kitchen ministry and loved to serve the Lord.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Lucille Pelow.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Frederick Shortsleeve of Fulton; four children, Cheryl (Thomas) Temple of Fulton, Mark (Paula) Shortsleeve of Parish, Edward Christian of Plattsburgh and Cindi (Kevin) Socie of Fulton; stepmother, Janice (Malcolm MacPherson) Pelow of Oswego; brothers, Richard (Maureen) Pelow of Oswego and Randall (Brenda) Pelow of Shippensburg, Pa.; sisters, Debra (Geoffrey) Carter of Belair, Md., Darlene (Gary) Sullivan of Rochester and Florence (Michael) Smith of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were Aug. 25 and services were Aug. 26 at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Onondaga County Veteran’s Cemetery in Syracuse.
